The three finals of the 2026 WPBSA Q Tour Global Play-Offs are now confirmed following the second day of action in Gandia, Spain.

Six players, all with previous World Snooker Tour (WST) experience, remain in contention for the trio of two-year tour cards which will be on offer on Tuesday.

The players will contest three best-of-19 frame final round matches with the winner of each earning their place among the professional ranks for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 campaigns.

Carty vs. Lines

Peter Lines and Ashley Carty both came through final frame deciders in the semi-finals to set up a Q Tour Global Play-Off final in Gandia.

Lines made history by winning through the longest semi-final in Q Tour Global Play-Offs history, beating Barry Pinches 6-5 on the final pink after just under seven hours of play.

The top seed in the event will face Ashley Carty, the winner of the sixth Q Tour Europe event of the campaign, in the best-of-19 frame title match.

Carty faced fellow former professional Peter Devlin in the last four and led 3-1 at the mid-session interval before his opponent hit back to take four of the next five frames to move one away from victory.

A break of 59 saw Carty force a decider before he got over the line in frame 11 to move within one victory of a return to the WST.

Joyce vs. Hugill

Mark Joyce and Ashley Hugill were the first two players to confirm their places in the Q Tour Global Play-Off final on Monday afternoon.

The two former professionals will meet in a best-of-19 frame contest on Tuesday with both hoping to secure a return to the World Snooker Tour after an absence of two years each.

Joyce was the first man into the final day courtesy of a 6-2 defeat of compatriot Daniel Womersley in the last four.

The former ranking event finalist had trailed 3-0 in the opening round to Ismail Turker before winning five successive frames to advance. But he ensured there would be no repeat of the slow start, never trailing Womersley and scoring top breaks of 71 and 67 to reach the final.

Hugill10-300x200.jpg

In a repeat of the Q Tour Europe final from event seven, Hugill once again defeated Alfie Davies.

The Welshman made a strong start, leading 3-1 at the mid-session interval, but Hugill rallied and fired in breaks of 82, 104 and 54 en route to wining five successive frames to set up a meeting with Joyce tomorrow.

Steadman vs. Carrington

Craig Steadman and Stuart Carrington will contest the third Q Tour Global Play-Off final on Tuesday after a dramatic evening in Gandia saw them both come from behind to secure success.

The two former professionals both had to battle through final frame deciders against Patrick Whelan and George Pragnell respectively to set up the best-of-19 frame final.

Steadman, who has been absent from the WST since 2023, raced into a 3-0 lead over compatriot Whelan. His opponent, who was looking to earn a maiden campaign among the professional ranks, found his form to take five frames in a row and move one away from victory.

The 43-year-old showed his experience, however, to force a decider before firing in a stunning break of 131 to get over the line.

It was a similar story for Carrington, who also trailed 5-3, before going on a timely scoring spree that saw breaks of 50, 66 and 52 to complete the last day line-up.

The WPBSA Q Tour Global Play-Offs finals take place on Tuesday (17 March) and you can follow the event via WPBSA SnookerScores or watch live on the WPBSA YouTube channel.
